Ozone and Bio-Oxidative Therapies

What is ozone?
Ozone is a naturally occurring component of fresh air. We are going to use it because it cleans things. The ozone layer cleans the atmosphere. It is produced when the ultraviolet rays of the sun react with the Earth’s upper atmosphere and creates a protective ozone layer.

Pure medical grade ozone can also be produced artificially with an medical ozone generator. This ozone molecule contains three activated oxygen atoms whereas the oxygen molecule contains only two.

Ozone is the most powerful and rapid acting oxidizer man can produce. We use ozone for two reasons. The first one is very important. The second reason is even more important than the first!
Reasons we use Ozone and bio-oxidative therapies:
- We use ozone to kill infections that do not belong inside us.
- Ozone kills infections (remember it is called oxidation) that do not belong in our body. It will oxidize (kill) all bacteria, mold, yeast fungus and viruses that do not belong in the body. These bacteria and viruses hate oxygen, they are anaerobic, and ozone is a natural way to treat the infections.

Ozone kills all of these harmful pathogens. ALL of them!

Ozone is Nature’s Purifier!
- Our body uses a natural defense called Antioxidants. The antioxidant system protects us from from being oxidized. The antioxidant layer in our cells protect us by neutralizing ozone so there is no damage to us. The way this works is that viruses, bacteria, yeast/fungus, mold don’t have antioxidants so they are killed instantly by the ozone gas.
- 2. Ozone stimulates the immune system after it kills pathogens.
Stimulating the immune system is the goal here. Killing off pathogens is very important, but stimulating the immune system is even more important. It is necessary to stimulate and support the immune system to get you well.

Ozone has been used by an estimated 10 million patients in Europe since the early 1960’s. The therapeutic use of medical ozone (technically known as “bio-oxidative therapies”) is largely a mystery to North Americans. Although few Americans have heard of it, bio-oxidative therapies have been around for a long time. Used clinically bu European physicians since the 1960’s ozone was first reported in the British medical journal The Lancet in the 1920. Since that time it has been studied in major medical research centers throughout the world, including Yale University, Harvard University, UCLA, and Baylor University as well as medical schools and labs in Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Russia, Canada, Japan, and Cuba. There have been hundreds of scientific articles publish about the chemical and biological effects of ozone.
Ozone Applications
Ozone is a powerful oxidizing agent and also a powerful non-chemical disinfectant. Ozone has the unique feature of decomposing to a harmless nontoxic environmentally safe material – Oxygen. Ozone sterilizes by killing of the bacteria. Ozone kills bacteria 3500 times faster than chlorine and with no harmful byproducts. Virus destruction with ozone is instantaneous and safe. Ozone is nature’s own purifier.

Ozone activates the immune system and releases chemicals that communicate with white blood cells. These chemicals “turn on” the immune system to ensure that any invaders such as bacteria and viruses are dealt with swiftly and effectively.

Ozone activates enzymes that attach to free radicals in the body and neutralizes them. It neutralizes free radicals! This has the effect of lowering the overall inflammation level of the body.
Ozone also increases energy production in cells. When you give cells more oxygen they will start producing more energy. Fatigue and low energy levels are common with Lyme disease. Using ozone gives you more energy like blowing more oxygen on a fire! More oxygen += more energy to heal with!

This energy is then used to protect the cells, to repair the cells, and to create hormones, enzymes, and proteins that are the backbone of your functioning body. Proper levels of energy production in cells are essential for a person to regain and maintain their health.
